Srinagar February 14 : (KNO) : Dukhtaran-e-Millat on Wednesday said that the Srinagar Central jail authorities have unleashed a rein of terror in the jail after a Lashkar-e-Toiba Mujahid who was detained in the jail managed to escape from SMHS hospital after he was taken their for a medical check up*. The chairperson of Dukhtaran Syedah Aasiya Andrabi said that there are apprehensions that the political prisoners who are languishing in Central Jail Srinagar for many years will be shifted from the jail. “While many under trails were shifted on the very next day of the incident, there are apprehensions that other political prsoners who are in the jail for many years will be shifted to other jails.” She said that while the fleeing of Naveed alias Hanzullah is a security lapse, the jail authorities under the command of new SSP Mukesh Kumar are inflicting coercion on the prisoners there. “How can the authorities make others responsible for their own failure,” she questioned? She said that the jail has been turned into Guantanamo Bay. The new SSP, Mukesh Kumar is a dreaded personnel of infamous Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police and he has been sent to the jail to coerce the prisoners. “Situation worst than Guantanamo Bay has been created in the jail.” Aasiya said that the people of Kashmir should remain cautious about the evil designs of the occupiers and should foil all such conspiracies. “We have to take a lead and realize our responsibilities. We should be firm and make the oppressor realize that the whole Kashmir is with the prisoners.” She said that the people will not tolerate such moves of the occupier and that any such move will have serious repercussions. “We warn the authorities that any such move will be fought tooth and nail and the same will have serious ramifications.”(KNO)
